Aunt Margaret will be truly missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to have known her. She was just one of those people who made a difference in the lives around her just by being her. Her smile and laughter filled a room. When my husband first met her, he told her she looked like an angel. She's always been an angel to me!!! I will miss our frequent phone calls, laughing together, and encouraging one another. She was one of the most intelligent people I knew. I could sit and listen to her forever. I will greatly miss hearing her stories. She was funny, gracious, and truly an inspiration to me throughout my life. More so over the past two years as she and my husband have battled with cancer. Her faith was huge. Her gratitude immense! She was an individual who allowed Christ to shine in and through her life. When sitting and talking with her, one was able to experience the presence of God because she was truly His vessel! I remember telling her several times how inspiring she was to Allen and I and she always replied with 'It's not me but Christ who strengthens me!' The last time I saw my precious aunt, she told me not to be sad when she goes 'home to the mansion God has prepared for her' but to celebrate! And she told me she'll see me in heaven. As my husband reminds me frequently, our loss is Heaven's gain! Aunt Margaret, until I see you again, I will keep you in my heart. I was truly blessed to be your niece!!! I love you!!! In the short time I've known Aunt Margaret, I could sense the presence of God in her. I enjoyed listening to her always praising and uplifting the word of Jesus. She shared with me one of her favorite bible verses 1Peter 1:3-12. Whenever I hear these verses, I will always think of her. Aunt Margaret and I were diagnosed with cancer within months of one another. She was a huge inspiration to me through our different journeys with cancer. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
